Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area requires a timed entry ticket, October 1 to May 31, 8am -5pm, to access the Scenic Drive. You will need a timed entry ticket in addition to the Late Exit Pass. Please reserve your Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area Scenic Drive Timed Entry ticket prior to reserving your Late Exit Pass.  

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area offers five late exit passes for climbing and backpacking at multi-pitch routes, depending on the parking lot. The routes available within each parking lot are detailed below. Select the late exit pass that corresponds with the route you plan to climb or backpack. You will be required to select a route during the pass selection process. 

Ice Box Canyon parking area allows access to:

• Buffalo Wall Route, Tatanka, Blitzkrieg, The NE Arete

Oak Creek parking area allows access to:

• Resolution Arete, Night Crawler, Black Orpheus, Johnnie Vegas, Solar Slab, Unimpeachable Groping, Cloud Tower, Ginger Cracks, Olive Oil, Crimson Chrysalis, Intee-wan-tona, Lady Wilson's Clevage, Gwondonna Land Boogie, Scotty, Pink Tornato Left, Pink Tornato Right, Aeolian Wall (Original Route), Woodrow, The League of Notions, Homunculus, Gift of the Wind Gods, Levitation 29, Eagle Dance, Cat Walk, Rainbow Buttress, Dances with Beagles

Pine Creek parking area allows access to:

• The Original Route, Night Crawler, Unimpeachable Groping, Cloud Tower, Ginger Cracks, Olive Oil, Crimson Chrysalis, Sergent Slaughter, The Big Paycheck, Sauron's Eye, Emerald City, Crazy World, Battle Royal, Desert Solitaire, The Kor Route, Stick Gully/Proper, The Happy Lollipop Tower, Gemstone Gully, Bird Hunter Buttress

White Rock parking allows access to:

• Angel Food Wall, Tunnel Vision, Group Therapy

Willow Spring parking allows access to:

• Bridge Mountain North Peak, Ice Cube Canyon (The Maze), Lone Pine Spring, Switchback Spring

In addition to the Late Exit Pass, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area requires separate entrance fee and a timed entry ticket to access the Scenic Drive, October 1 to May 31, 8am -5pm. You can use Red Rock Canyon NCA Annual Pass, your Interagency Annual Pass (example: America the Beautiful Pass) or you can purchase a day pass for entry. For your timed entry ticket, search "Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area Scenic Drive Timed Entry ticket" on Recreation.gov and reserve your timed entry date prior to reserving your Late Exit Pass.  

This pass is only valid for late exit to the Scenic Drive area at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. The late exit pass allows climbers and backpackers to be in the above designated areas area up to two hours after closure and in the Willow Springs Area the ability to stay overnight above 5,000 feet in the Rainbow Mountains Wilderness.

The following parking lots are not authorized for late exit use: Fee Station; Calico I; Calico II, Sandstone; and High Point.

Y • This pass is only valid for late exit to the Scenic Drive area at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. The late exit pass allows climbers and backpackers to be in the above designated areas area up to two hours after closure and in the Willow Springs Area the ability to stay overnight above 5,000 feet in the Rainbow Mountains Wilderness.

The late exit pass does not cover camping fees in the campground. Camping is not permitted on the Scenic Drive.

Your vehicle's license plate number is required for purchasing the late exit pass and will be used for verification.
