Special Use Permit Conditions For Backcountry Camping
The following conditions apply to all backcountry camping permittees:
The permittee identified on this permit shall retain and present the permit upon request to the National Park staff.
The permittee must maintain a presence at the designated campsite during the timeframe shown on the permit. If permittee intends to cancel a reservation prior to its scheduled expiration, permittee must notify Canaveral National Seashore Visitor Center by calling (386) 428-3384 ext. 0. Camping fees are nonrefundable.
Access to all areas of Canaveral National Seashore is contingent upon the availability of designated parking sites.
Entrance fees are not included in this Backcountry Camping permit. A per vehicle entrance fee will be collected at the fee booth upon entering Canaveral National Seashore.
The hours, dates and location of permitted activity are stated on the permit and must be adhered to by the permittee.
No signs, posters, banners, broadsides, flagging or fliers may be attached in any manner to any U.S. Government property, including the posting of signs or other pronouncements on or into the sand or soil or against any vegetation within Canaveral National Seashore.
"Leave-No-Trace" policy is the rule.
No trees shall be cut; down wood may be collected to use as firewood.
All trash and refuse generated by the permittee’s group must be disposed of in a responsible manner by the permittee. Use of National Park Service trash and recycling receptacles is encouraged. Packing trash home is preferred park backcountry ethic. Under no circumstances may trash be abandon or left by permittee or group.
Loud speakers, generators or other electronic or motorized equipment are not authorized under the terms of this permit.
Impairment of National Park facilities is prohibited.
