A day use pass at all trailheads listed within the Cle Elum Ranger District grants visitors access to an array of recreational opportunities, including hiking, picnicking, wildlife viewing, and more. The funding generated from these passes goes towards maintaining and improving the facilities and amenities within the district, such as trail maintenance, restroom upkeep, signage, and other infrastructure projects. Additionally, the revenue contributes to conservation efforts, habitat restoration, and resource management initiatives aimed at preserving the natural beauty and ecological integrity of the area for future generations to enjoy. By purchasing a day use pass, visitors not only gain access to the district's recreational offerings but also contribute to its ongoing stewardship and sustainability.

Purchasing this pass does not guarantee available parking space. If the trailhead you intend to visit is full or closed, you may use this pass at any other site where it is accepted. No refunds will be issued due to parking capacity or site closure.

The Cle Elum Ranger District Trailhead Pass is a one-day Recreation Pass valid at all areas where a day use fee is required (see site list below). Site will be clearly marked if fee is required. A single pass is required for each vehicle.

The $5 day pass can be purchased on-site using a credit card through the Recreation.gov mobile app. Once on-site, follow the posted Scan & Pay instructions. You will need to download the free Recreation.gov mobile app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service. You must have the Recreation.gov app loaded onto your device/phone prior to arrival to make payment through the QR code onsite.

This pass is valid at Day-Use Fee Sites within the Cle Elum Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, including Trailheads. This pass is not valid at campgrounds.

This pass is valid until 11:59 PM of the date listed on the pass, and only for the date and vehicle specified for this pass. If using a site for multiple days, such as for an overnight backcountry trip, one pass per day is required.

All visitors must display a valid pass at Day-Use Fee Sites where required. Inorder to purchase onsite, please have the Recreation.gov app downloaded prior to leaving internet service areas. Once pass is purchased, please write down confirmation number on provided envelope and post in vehicle dashboard.

These day use areas also accept the Northwest Forest Pass, America the Beautiful Passes: Senior, Access, Military, Gold Star, Veteran, and Golden Age Senior/Access area. These passes cover fees for the passholder and up to three adults per vehicle. Washington State Park Discover Pass is not accepted.

This pass does not guarantee parking availability. For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be fined or towed. If parking is not available, the pass is valid at all other trailheads within the Cle Elum Ranger District.

Passes are non-transferrable between operators, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.
