Cliff and Wade Recreation Area Day Use Pass Pass

Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest

Cliff and Wade Lakes, with their beautiful clear cool waters, have become increasingly popular recreational destinations. Picnicking, fishing, boating and other water activities are enjoyed on the lakes and along the small 'beach' areas. Activity Pass payment allows entry to one private vehicle, and it's occupants, to the Cliff and Wade Recreation Area Day Use facilities, lakeshores and boat launches. The narrow canyon-type terrain limits the amount of parking available, thus may limit the number of vehicles that may enter the sites. Day Use parking is allowed only in designated spaces and will be strictly enforced.

This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once on-site, follow the posted instructions. You will need to download the free Recreation.gov mobile app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service: https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app

All DAY USE visitors must display a valid pass or proof of payment, showing date, license plate number and confirmation number, on the dashboard of their vehicle. Proof of payment may be a completed Scan and Pay stub or a completed fee envelope stub, both available at fee station. Visitors must be prepared to show their digital receipt on mobile device.

Payment does not guarantee parking availability so visitors must find a legal parking space prior to payment. Parking outside of designated parking areas may result in a fine or towing of vehicle.

The pass is valid from 6 AM to 10 PM on the date listed on pass and only for the vehicle license specified.

Passes are non- transferrable, non-refundable and void if altered.

DAY USE fees are not required for reserved camping at Wade Lake and Cliff Point Campgrounds.

Food storage regulations are in place. All food and attractants must be stored in an approved bear resistant container when unattended.

Pets must be on leash in Day Use areas.

Visitors who boat or hike to dispersed camping areas on Cliff Lake must pay the activity pass fee for each day they are there.
