Trunk Bay charges an Expanded Amenity Fee of $5.00/person ages 16 and up from sunrise until sunset. Individuals with an Interagency Senior Pass or Access Pass may pay the fee in person when they arrive to receive the 50% discount.
Trunk Bay is located within Virgin Island National Park and is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Not only does it offer crystal clear water and white sand, it has a one-of-a-kind 225-yard underwater snorkeling trail. The gently sloped beach is .3 miles long and includes accessible paths and beach ramps. Amenities include a snack shack, bar, snorkel gear rentals, a beach shop, restrooms, and showers. Trunk Bay facilities are open 8 a.m. to 4 p.pm. daily.
The $5 day pass can be purchased on-site using a credit card through the Recreation.gov mobile app. Once on-site, follow the posted Scan & Pay instructions. You will need to download the free Recreation.gov mobile app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service. No lifeguards are on duty. Facilities are open 8 am to 4 pm daily. Showers and foot rinse provided.
Print out or download the pass to your mobile device in advance of your visit. Connectivity may be limited, and the pass must be available to show for entry.
An entrance pass is not required to access Virgin Islands National Park and there is no fee for private vehicles entering the park via roadways.
Passes are non-transferable, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.
