Blackfoot Reservoir Campground is managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and located on the southwest end of the Blackfoot Reservoir. The Reservoir covers 18,000 surface acres when full and is the second largest reservoir in southeastern Idaho. The campground has an annual fee season from May 15th - September 15th and is equipped with 16 fully developed campsites and 12 overflow-dispersed campsites. The site offers recreational activities such as fishing, camping, picnicking, motorized boating, non-motorized boating (i.e. kayaks, rafts, standup paddle boards, etc.), swimming, wildlife viewing, and hunting opportunities.

The day use facilities include graveled parking areas, developed boat ramps with accessible boat docks, accessible sidewalk to a fishing platform, a group shelter with picnic tables, grills for cooking, and other small single picnic sites with shelters. Four double vaulted restrooms, potable water, trash service, and a RV dump station are available.

Day Use Daily Passes - Are available for the use of the boat ramp and day use amenities. These passes are per vehicle and only good for the day purchased. Paid overnight campers do not need to purchase a Day Use Daily Pass.  

Day Use Annual Passes - This pass permits the use of the boat ramp, day use amenities, and RV dump station from May 15th - September 15th. These passes are available online through Recreation.gov and in person at the BLM Pocatello Field Office in Pocatello, Idaho and the U.S. Forest Service Soda Springs Ranger District located in Soda Springs, Idaho (must purchase online to pick up at USFS Soda Springs Office). If purchasing a Day Use Annual Pass online, please stop in one of the two offices listed above with proof of purchase and a hard hangtag will be provided.

Extra Vehicle - The fully developed campsites allow one RV with vehicle in tow or one vehicle. For additional vehicles you must purchase an Extra Vehicle pass, per night. There is a 4 vehicle max per fully developed campsite.

RV Dump Station - Permits the use of the RV dump station for a one-time use, passes are only available on site.

If you do not wish to purchase the Day Use Daily Pass in advance, this location is also available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once on-site, follow the posted Scan & Pay instructions. You will need to download the free Recreation.gov mobile app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service. If purchasing onsite with Scan & Pay, please have the Recreation.gov app downloaded prior to arrival. Once purchased please write down confirmation number on provided Recreation Use Permit yellow envelope and post in vehicle dashboard. Fees are to be paid within 20 minutes upon arrival.

If purchasing pass in advance, you are required to print a copy of your Day Use pass with QR code and place the printout on your dashboard of your vehicle for the duration of your stay.

For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be fined and towed. This includes parking on the Dike.

Annual Day Use and Daily Day Use passes are valid from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM of the date listed on the pass, and only for the vehicle specified on this pass.

Passes are non-transferrable, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.

America the Beautiful Passes: Senior and Access pass are accepted at this site for a 50% discount.

The RV Dump Station and potable water is available from May 15th - September 15th, annually.
