This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature.
If this option is available, you will need to first download the free Recreation.gov mobile app https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service.
Tabor Campground is located along the north-eastern shore of Turquoise Lake in a shaded lodgepole pine forest at 9,900 feet. It has 15 sites and accommodates large recreational vehicles. Facilities include picnic tables, fire rings with grates, and a vault toilet.
Check in: 2 pm - Check out: 12 pm (noon)
Quiet hours: 10 pm to 6 am
High altitude sickness may occur at this elevation.

All services may not be available early or late in the season.
Overnight camping fee, which includes two vehicles. A third vehicle is an additional $10.00 per night.
RVs and ATV/boat trailers count as one vehicle.
Maxium of eight people per site
Maximum three tents per site or one RV and two tents
Dogs, including service dogs, must be leashed at all times
No discharge of firearms or fireworks
Only licensed vehicles can operate inside campground
Camping is not allowed behind a locked gate
Firewood is available for sale at host site for $10.00/bundle.
Water will NOT be available in this campground in 2024. Please bring enough water for your needs, including water to fully extinguish your campfire.
Also, the RV Dump Station at White Star will remain closed this season. The RV Dump station at Turquoise Lake is closed until June 10th, 2024.
