Gifford Pinchot National Forest
This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature.
If this option is available, you will need to first download the free Recreation.gov mobile app https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service.
This campground, on the shores of Ollalie Lake, offers 5 small sites and one larger area with room for RVs. The sites offer scenic views of Mt. Adams from the lake. It’s located in a high elevation stand of lodgepole and subalpine pine. Mosquitos can be numerous in the early season.
ALERT: STAGE 2 FIRE BAN NOW IN EFFECT!
Due to increased risk of wildfires, the Gifford Pinchot National Forest fire managers have issued restrictions on campfires, smoking, and other activities within the forest. These restrictions will begin July 17, 2025.
Restrictions include:
Building, maintaining, attending, or using a fire, campfire, or stove fire, including a charcoal fire and pellet fire on all National Forest System lands. Portable cooking stoves, lanterns, and heating devices using liquefied or bottled fuel, such as propane, are allowed as they can be switched off instantly.
Smoking, except within an enclosed vehicle or building, a designated campground, or while stopped in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren or cleared of all flammable material.
Possessing, discharging, or using any kind of firework or other pyrotechnic device is prohibited year-round on national forest lands.
Operating or using any internal or external combustion engine without a spark arresting device properly installed, maintained, and in effective working order.
Some parking spurs are at a right angle, so backing may be challenging.
First come, first serve.
No gasoline powered boat motors allowed in lake.
Leave no trace!
Ensure campfires are always full extinguished before leaving campground.
Camping fee covers Maximum vehicle length is 22 feet.
There is no potable water available at this campground. Please come prepared with your own supply of water.
The camping fee covers your first vehicle. Any additional vehicles are charged a fee of $8.00/night of your stay.
