If the holiday falls on a Friday or Saturday, the customer will be required to reserve the nights of: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and may check out on Sunday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday or Monday, the customer will be required to reserve the nights of: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and may check out on Monday.	All Year
Maximum Reservations per Transaction	You may pay for up to 4 reservations at one time within the same credit card transaction.	All Year

If I book this reservation today, what are my options to change or cancel?

Please remember that reservations at these facilities prevent other visitors from using these sites. Planned changes to your stay should be made as far in advance as possible. You can make changes to your reservation ahead of your arrival date in My Reservations.

Changes

If your new stay dates are completely different from your original stay dates, there is a $10 change fee (per reserved site). There are no additional fees for:

Adding or removing nights to your stay.
Changing to a different campsite.

Balances will adjust based on your new stay's nightly rate.

Cancellations

You can cancel the reservation any time before the date of your scheduled arrival. You will receive a refund for your stay, minus the following fees:

$10 cancellation fee
Any reservation fees (only if paid when booking)
Any previous change fees

What is “Late”?

For individual campsites, a late cancellation applies starting from midnight 1 calendar day before your scheduled check-in. For cabins and group sites, a late cancellation applies starting from midnight 14 calendar days or fewer before your scheduled check-in.

Late Fee

In addition to the fees listed above, a late cancellation will also subtract your first night's recreation use fee from any refund owed. As of the expected check-in day, cancellations or changes to your stay are not possible through My Reservations. It is at the facility's discretion to support additional Late Cancellations, No Show, or Early Departure updates – on-site personnel may not be able to assist. These changes carry penalties and may forfeit recreation use fees. For additional details, please visit here.

Day Use Rules

The above guidance for modifications, cancellations, and refunds do not apply to Day Use sites. Day Use sites Forfeit the Day Use recreation use fee if cancelled less than 14 days before the arrival date (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation.)

Changes and Cancellations

Once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the campground manager will be able to modify your reservation.

Silver Fir Campground

Silver Fir Campground is situated along the North Fork Nooksack River in Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. The area offers stunning scenery and access to numerous recreational activities within the North Cascades in Washington.

Silver Fir Campground is a smaller campground, offering sites to accommodate tents and RVs. A group picnic shelter for up to 25 people is also available. Picnic tables and campfire rings with grills are provided, as are vault toilets and drinking water. No electrical hookups are available. Groceries, firewood and other conveniences are available 20 minutes away in the nearby community of Glacier.

This is not Silver Springs Campground near Mt. Rainier National Park.

Note: For all purchases made at the campground, including first-come, first-served campsites, sundries, firewood, extra vehicle parking, etc., only US currency will be accepted.

Please Note: One RV with tow vehicle per single site or one vehicle per single tent site. Two RV’S with tow vehicle per double site or two vehicles per double tent site. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. Extra vehicle will be charged a per night fee and collected at the campground.

Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.

Reserved Sites will be held until check out time (NOON) the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of that following day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests.

Once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the campground manager will be able to modify your reservation.

Refunds: Refund requests made through www.recreation.gov will be charged a $10 processing fee. This fee is retained by the reservation service contractor along with the non-refundable reservation fee. All requests for the return of the non-refundable reservation fee and the cancellation fee will be declined by the campground concessionaire as they did not receive these fees (these are the fees retained by the reservation contractor, a different entity).

Don't Move Firewood: Please protect Pacific Northwest forests by preventing the spread of invasive species. Firewood can carry insects and diseases that can threaten the health of our western forests. You can make a difference by obtaining and burning your firewood near your camping destination. Natural Features

The Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest showcases rugged peaks, sparkling alpine lakes and old-growth forests, providing visitors with unique and surprising landscapes. Mt. Baker, the most prominent feature of the Mt. Baker Wilderness, dominates the landscape on a clear day. Rising to an elevation of 10,781 feet, the active volcano is perpetually snow-capped and mantled with an extensive network of creeping glaciers. Mt. Baker's summit, Grant Peak, is a 1,300-foot-deep mound of ice, which hides a massive volcanic crater. Wildlife in the area includes mountain goats traversing the higher elevations to squirrels and black bears in the forests. Migratory birds and native fish find ample habitat in the varied ecosystems as well.

Nearby Attractions

Visitors enjoy hiking, picnicking and photography in the Heather Meadows area located along the upper reaches of the Mt. Baker Scenic Byway, SR 542. Many popular hikes and climbing routes are located in the surrounding Mt. Baker Wilderness and backpackers enjoy visiting the northern reaches of North Cascades National Park.

Recreation

The campground provides a prime location for hiking and picnicking in summer and early fall and is a non-motorized Sno-Park in the winter. Hikers and backpackers are especially fortunate to have access to a variety of trails near the campground and in the surrounding Mt. Baker Wilderness area. Trails accessed from Hannegan Pass Road, less than a mile from the campground, lead into stunning scenery in the Mt. Baker Wilderness and North Cascades National Park.

Driving Directions

From Seattle, Washington, go north on I-5 to Bellingham. Take exit 255 onto Sunset Drive/Mt. Baker Highway SR 542. Continue on SR 542 past the town of Glacier near mile 33 and continue approximately 12.5 miles to the campground. The campground is on the right (west) side of the highway after crossing the bridge over the North Fork Nooksack River.
