Sparrowfoot Campground is situated on the Grand River Arm of the Harry S. Truman Lake in the hills of western Missouri.
Visitors enjoy fishing, hunting and boating.
This campground offers 83 sites, 56 of those include 50-amp electric hookups and water hookups; along with 27 sites with 30-amp electric hookups. Two day-use group picnic shelters are also available, making the area perfect for large parties or family functions.
Amenities include flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water, laundry facilities, playground, a dump station and boat ramp.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE INTERSECTION ON 13 HWY TO ACCESS SPARROWFOOT PARK (SE 450 RD) IS BEING AFFECTED BY MODOT BRIDGE REPLACEMENT WORK. CAMPERS TRAVELLING FROM THE NORTH (CLINTON) SHOULD TAKE GRAVEL ROAD SE 400 JUST SOUTH OF THE GRAND RIVER BRIDGE IN ORDER TO GET TO SPARROWFOOT. OTHERWISE, CAMPERS WILL NEED TO TRAVEL SOUTH TO THE 52 HWY OVERPASS AND HEAD BACK NORTHBOUND ON 13 TO ACCESS SPARROWFOOT. THIS WORK IS PROJECTED TO LAST THROUGH EARLY NOVEMBER 2025.

Campers must have permit before camping. Available at park booth. *There is a limit of 1 wheeled camper and 2 tents or 3 tents per camp pad.* All equipment must fit on the site pad. Vehicles park in developed areas only. This park requires a 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends and 2 night minimum stay on weekends.*
A mosaic of hardwood forests and grasslands covers the area's rolling hills. Rocky bluffs extend into the lake.
Wildlife such as whitetail deer, turkey, hawks, ospreys, eagles, and many different water birds can be found in and around the park.
An abundance of fish such as crappie, bass, walleye, paddlefish, blue and channel catfish can also be found in Harry S Truman Reservoir. Approximately 8,800 acres of standing timber were left in the lake to provide quality aquatic habitat.
Katy Trail State Park, the nation's longest rails-to-trails project, is nearby. This unique park stretches from Clinton to Machens, with dozens of trailheads in between. Biking and hiking are allowed on the entire length of the trail, and horses are allowed from Clinton to Sedalia.
Sparrowfoot is an excellent fishing location. Truman Lake is also a popular destination for tournament fishermen.
