Hot Springs, Va., May 1, 2025 – The George

Washington and Jefferson National Forest’s James

River and Warm Springs Ranger District will be sealing

and line painting the day-use parking area for Bolar

Flat Marina, May 5th through May 11th.

The boat launch will be closed and will reopen May

12th. The Bolar Flat Marina will remain closed until it

officially opens May 21st. Visitors can use the boat launches at

Coles Point and Fortney during the time of the closure.

“These parking lot improvements will greatly enhance

our visitor's experience at the Bolar Flat Marina and we

appreciate the public’s patience during this time," said

Kevin Kyle, District Ranger of the James River and Warm Springs Ranger District.
