Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area
Jones Bay is one of Lake Roosevelt’s smaller, more rustic campgrounds. The campground is mostly gravel and packed dirt, with not much vegetation, on the lake shore. It can be reached by boat and has a boat launch and dock. Jones Bay can be also be reached by car, but may be difficult to find.
Jones Bay is a reservation only campground with 9 sites. There are picnic tables and fire pits at each site. You will need to bring your own drinking water.
Campground closed for the winter. During winter operations at Lake Roosevelt's campgrounds camping will only be available at Spring Canyon, Fort Spokane and Kettle Falls campgrounds.

There are no electricity, water or sewer site hookups. No potable water available.
Vault toilets available.
Pets are allowed and must be restrained at all times.
No off-road vehicles permitted.
No metal detectors or collecting artifacts allowed.
Bring confirmation with you. Transfer the confirmation information onto the green slips located at the Fee Board as you enter the campground. Hang filled out tag at your site.
No generator usuage during our Quiet Hours of 10 PM - 6 AM.
Fires are permitted in the fire rings year-round, EXCEPT when the fire danger rating reaches a critical level as indicated by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources for the area that includes Lake Roosevelt NRA.
No off-road parking; park in designated areas only.
Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.
Weekly Boat Launch Permits must be purchased on line at https://www.pay.gov/public/form/start/656441199 . Please purchase prior to your trip. Annual Boat Launch Permits are available in person by vendor only.

ALERT: Make sure you are intending on coming to Jones Bay on Lake Roosevelt. There is also a Jones Bay on nearby Steamboat Rock State park.
Jones Bay is located at the bottom of a ravine that opens up into a beautiful bay on Lake Roosevelt. It's located in the brush stepe so has a desert feel to it with the bitter antelope brush and sage.
Great fishing is just a boat ride away. Beautiful views up and down the lake.
Jones Bay is popular with people that like a more remote primitive site. There is access to the water with a small boat ramp. Fishing is great from the water or the shore.

Late Cancellations or Cancellations within the Cut-off Window
Individual Campsites: A customer who cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a one-night reservation will forfeit the entire amount paid and will not be subject to an additional service fee.

Jones Bay is 77 miles from Spokane as you head west on I-90. Drive 3 miles west on I-90 take exit 277 for US 2 West toward the Spokane Airport/Davenport. Stay on US two traveling through Airway Heights. About 55 miles turn right onto Sherman Draw Rd. N. in 4.3 miles turn left on Sherman Rd. E. Follow for 2 miles then turn right onto Jones Bay Rd. N. The campground is 3 miles down a sandy narrow road.
If coming from Wilbur, WA Jones Bay is 1 miles. Head East on NW Main Ave toward SE Division St. Pass Key Bank 0.2 miles. Turn left on NE Brace St. follow 2 miles. Turn right onto Sherman Rd E. 1 mile. Turn left onto Hanson Harbor Rd. follow for 7.6 miles. Slight right onto Jones Bay Rd. N. In 3 miles you will arrive in the campground.
