Need to Know
Upper East Branch is a walk-to site. Vehicles may be parked at the single space parking area next to the road and sign. The camping area is approximately 115 feet from the parking space. Campers and RVs are not permitted at this site.
Pets must be on a leash of six feet or less at all times.
An additional vehicle parking space can be found across the road from the vault toilet. (46.11368,-68.79887)
Campfire permits from the Maine Forest Service are required. Call 207-435-7963 prior to your trip to obtain a free permit.
No cell phone service.
No potable water (bring a water filter).
No trash service. Practice Leave No Trace principles and carry out everything you carry in, including all trash and food.
