Need to Know
Pets must be on a leash of six feet or less at all times.
This campsite cannot be accessed by road. You must paddle or hike to camp at this site. If hiking, Pond Pitch is located 3 miles from Haskell Gate.
Campfire permits from the Maine Forest Service are required. Call 207-435-7963 prior to your trip to obtain a free permit.
There is no pit toilet at Pond Pitch Campsite. Follow Leave No Trace principles.
This site currently does not have a food storage locker. All scented items must be stored securely.
No cell phone service.
No potable water (bring a water filter).
No trash service. Practice Leave No Trace principles and carry out everything you carry in, including all trash and food.
Pets are permitted at campsites. Pets must be on a leash of six feet or less at all times.
