The campsite sits approximately 3ft above the East Branch of the Penobscot River, up a steep rooted bank. The shoreline is about 2ft wide when the water level is low. Check the water level and flow rate before arriving for your trip.
No cell phone service.
No potable water (bring a water filter).
No trash service. Practice Leave No Trace principles and carry out everything you carry in, including all trash and food.
Obtain firewood locally within 10 miles of your campsite.
This campsite cannot be accessed by road. You must paddle to camp at this site.
Pets must be on a leash of six feet or less at all times.
Campfire permits from the Maine Forest Service are required. Call 207-435-7963 prior to your trip to obtain a free permit.
