Need to Know
Big Seboeis campsite cannot be accessed by road. You must paddle or hike to camp at this site.
Pets must be on a leash of six feet or less at all times.
Campfire permits from the Maine Forest Service are required. Call 207-435-7963 prior to your trip to obtain a free permit.
A pit toilet is available for campers to use nearby. To access the pit toilet, follow the dirt trail southeast approximately 200ft (60m).
No cell phone service.
No potable water (bring a water filter).
No trash service. Practice Leave No Trace principles and carry out everything you carry in, including all trash and food.
Obtain firewood locally within 10 miles of your campsite.
