Need to Know

• Big Seboeis campsite cannot be accessed by road. You must paddle or hike to camp at this site.

• Pets must be on a leash of six feet or less at all times.

• Campfire permits from the Maine Forest Service are required. Call 207-435-7963 prior to your trip to obtain a free permit.

• A pit toilet is available for campers to use nearby. To access the pit toilet, follow the dirt trail southeast approximately 200ft (60m). 

• No cell phone service.

• No potable water (bring a water filter).

• No trash service. Practice Leave No Trace principles and carry out everything you carry in, including all trash and food.

• Obtain firewood locally within 10 miles of your campsite.
