Need to Know

• This site meets ADA (accessibility) standards and also offers a 5 amp electrical outlet intended for the purpose of operating medical equipment, e.g. a CPAP machine. ADA sites with an outlet are B028 and F043. These sites will be rented in advance ONLY to persons requiring the electrical outlet, except that they will be rented to other persons requiring an ADA site if all other ADA sites are reserved. Persons desiring to use the 5 amp electrical outlet will be required to show written proof upon arrival of a need to operate medical equipment, i.e. a doctor's prescription. There is no extra fee for electricity. Please see the notice at the top of the page regarding use of these sites. ADA sites without electricity are A2, B26, B33, D35, D36 and F36. The use of generators is prohibited in areas of the campground that are designated generator free. Generator waivers, which permitted the use of a generator at night to operate medical equipment, are no longer issued in campgrounds that have ADA sites with electricity.

• Caution: Bears and other wildlife frequent the area. All food and equipment used to prepare and store food must be kept in a sealed vehicle or camping unit of solid, non-pliable material AT ALL TIMES when not in use. All scented items, as well as all water containers MUST be stored. Dispose of garbage promptly in dumpsters provided. Unattended or improperly stored coolers, food and/or scented items may be impounded by campground staff. Violators are subject to fines.
• You must check-in with the campground office staff UPON ARRIVAL to complete your reservation. If you arrive after the office is CLOSED for the day then you must check-in with the campground staff the following day between 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. Failure to check-in with the office staff may forfeit your reservation.
• This site has a 5 amp outlet for MEDICAL USE ONLY. To obtain access to the outlet you must provide proof, upon campground arrival, of medical needs for the use of this site. Improper use of the electricity will trip the breaker and staff may not be available to reset the breaker.
• There are no hookups or showers at Smokemont.

  Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash and may not be left unattended. Pet excrement must be disposed of properly.

  Generator use is prohibited in loops A, B and C. If you wish to use a generator, reserve a site in D or F loop. RVs and trailers are encouraged to use loops D or F unless they want to avoid generator noise.

• B028: This site is NOT adjacent to the creek. If you prefer a creek side site, please consult the campground map and choose a different site. Food storage regulations are strictly enforced in this campground. Generator use is prohibited at this site. If you anticipate using a generator, please choose a different site. There are no hookups or showers at this campground. Pets are allowed, but must be kept on a leash and may not be left unattended. A maximum of 6 people are allowed per site unless they are immediate family.
  
  Site B028 is handicap accessible and C-Pap compatible. This site has a straight, level asphalt parking pad measuring approximately 35' by 20', at the end of which is a concrete curb stop. There are no significant obstructions on the site to limit the use of RV slide-outs. This site can accommodate up to 2 vehicles. Overflow parking is available. The site has a level tent pad measuring 13' by 13', fire pit with grill, picnic table, and lantern post. B028 has a gravel path leading directly from the site to a handicap accessible restroom. A 5 amp electrical service box is available for the use of C-Pap machines. The partially shaded site is located on a secondary road within the campground.
