FOOD STORAGE: Black bears and other wildlife inhabit the area. Food storage regulations are strictly enforced. Do not feed wildlife and do not leave food or garbage unattended. Properly dispose of all food and garbage at the end of your event.
FIREWOOD QUARANTINE: Firewood from the states of Illinois, Indiana and Ohio and the lower peninsula of Michigan is quarantined due to an insect infestation. Please help protect park forests and do not bring firewood from those states.
WATER: Potable water is available from a spigot near the pavilion fireplace.
ALCOHOL: Alcohol is allowed at designated picnic areas, including this pavilion, as well as designated campsites. Alcohol is prohibited elsewhere.
FIRES: Charcoal fires only are permitted in the pavilion fireplace. Wood fires are prohibited.
DECORATIONS: Decorations are allowed, provided that tape, etc. is removed upon departure. Directional signs leading to the site are prohibited.
ACTIVITY RESTRICTIONS: Commercial activity (i.e. sales) is prohibited. Use of the pavilion for weddings or wedding receptions may require a Special Use Permit. Call 865-436-1266 for information.
MISC: Keep your confirmation notice with you in the event of a conflict.
A beautiful, large, and lighted picnic pavilion (47' x 69') with a capacity of about 150 people. It contains a large fireplace for charcoal fires; the grill is 26" x 70". There are twenty-eight picnic tables plus a 3' x 24' serving table. No telephone.
The new, ADA accessible restroom was constructed in 2010. It is lighted and equipped with flush toilets and cold running water in the sinks. The restrooms can only be accessed via a combination lock, i.e. 19345. Please bring that number with you as it is the only way to get in to the restrooms.
