- Due to current Recreation.gov system limitations, this site is listed as a group site, however the maximum group size is 6 and it does not resemble a group site but rather a very small site.
This site can be breezy and good for sunsets. The site is level and located up on a small hill. The landing is sandy and a little grassy on the sides, good for swimming at landing and nearby areas around the bay. There are steep banks behind shoreline. Balsam 1 and Balsam 2 share a landing
