Need to Know
- Alaska cabin reservations can only be changed once. If you need to modify your reservation a second time,it must be cancelled and then re-booked by calling 1-877-444-6777.*Effective November 17, 2003 to assure fairness for everyone.*
Propane for heater provided.
Open fires must be in fire ring, collect dead/down wood only.
Cabin primitive, no amenities except propane heater and outhouse.
Bring personal floation devices for the boat.
Lake or stream water must be boiled or treated for drinking.
Cabin is a public use shelter from 10am to 5pm daily.
Directions to Campground:
24 miles northwest of Juneau. Access by 4 1/2 mile trail from Mile
marker 24.2 Glacier Highway. - Two day stay limit.
Marshy area around lake, spruce/hemlock forest. Deer, black and brown
bear, waterfowl. Lake is approx. 1 mile long, narrow.
Access year round, secluded valley. Skiff w/oars provided.
Skis or snowshoes recommended during winter months.
