  • Alaska cabin reservations can only be changed once. If you need to modify your reservation a second time,it must be cancelled and then re-booked by calling 1-877-444-6777.*Effective November 17, 2003 to assure fairness for everyone.*

    Cabin is primitive, no amenities except OIL STOVE and outhouse. Open fires
    must be in fire ring. Collect dead or downed wood only. Lake or stream
    water must be boiled or treated for drinking. All garbage must be packed
    out. Bring personal floatation devices for the boat.
    DIRECTIONS: Young Lake is on the North end of Admiralty Island; this cabin
    is near the southern end of the lake, on the eastern shore.
    Floatplane access. One-way flight time from Juneau 20 minutes.

  • One mile paddle or hike to North Young Lake Cabin, 6 mi. by trail or lake and trail to Admiralty Cove. Young Lake is approx. 1 1/2 miles lone and 1/4 miles wide. Within Kootznoowoo Wilderness; natural scenery with spruce and hemlock forest, deer and brown bear. A small boat with oars provided; users may bring a small outboard motor of less than 10 horsepower.
