Need to Know

• The Bozeman Ranger District has provided a Coleman propane stove for use by cabin renters. As a renter it is your responsibility to know how to operate the Coleman propane stove safely. Do not use the stove in an enclosed area without adequate ventilation. We recommend using the stove outside on the deck that surrounds the lookout. The stove is mounted on a portable table with handles. There is a danger from Carbon Monoxide buildup from burning propane while using either the stove or lanterns within any enclosed area, a danger from fire and/or explosions from propane gas, and a burn warning for all hot surfaces on or near the stove.
