Need to Know
- Alaska cabin reservations can only be changed once. If you need to modify your reservation a second time,it must be cancelled and then re-booked by calling 1-877-444-6777.*Effective November 17, 2003 to assure fairness for everyone.*
Open fires must be in firering, collect dead/down wood only. Cabin is
primitive, no amenities, except oil stove and outhouse. Bring #1 stove
oil or kerosene for the oil stove. Bring personal floatation devices for the boat. Lake or stream water must be boiled or treated for drinking. Short charter flight from Juneau. Skiff w/oars provided. - Proximity: 7 miles West of East Turner Lake cabin.
Restrictions: Catch and release only on cutthroat trout. Lake is
normally not ice free until early June.
Activities: Boating, hiking, and fishing.
Long, narrow fjord-like lake with steep mountains surrounding. West end is
outlet. Spruce-hemlock forest, black and brown bear, waterfowl, fish.
Beautiful scenery. Short charter flight from Juneau. Skiff W/Oars provided.
OK to bring outboard for boat. Boat has a 15" transom.
