- Alaska cabin reservations can only be changed once. If you need to modify your reservation a second time,it must be cancelled and then re-booked by calling 1-877-444-6777.*Effective November 17, 2003 to assure fairness for everyone.*
Open fires must be in firering, collect dead/down wood only Cabin is primitive, no amenities except oil stove and outhouse. Bring #1 stove oil for the oil stove. Stream water must be boiled or treated for drinking. Directions: 30 miles SE of Yakutat, cabin is on W bank of Hooligan Creek and 1/2 mile from Old Italio River. Access is by wheeled plane on 1600' tidal flat airstrip. Airstrip may flood at extreme high tides or after heavy rains. - Proximity: Approx. 2 miles to New Italio River. 1/2 mile to Gulf of Alaska Beach. Restrictions: Airstrip may flood at extreme high tides. Terrain flat and wet. Willow and alder thickets, scattered cottonwood trees Moose, brown bear, eagles. Trail to New Italio River, access to beach. Moose and fish abundant. Meatshed available at cabin.
