Need to Know

• Sites 2 and 3, minimum 20 people and maximum 40 people per site, although only 30 people can be seated at the tables at one time.
• Site G01 is located adjacent to the beach and next to the parking area. Sites G02 and G03 are located up the hill. All sites share the beach area.
  The following are prohibited: alcoholic beverages, smoking, and pets.
  Picnic area hours are from 9 am to 9 pm.
  No drinking water or electricity available.
  No check-in required. Gate to area should be open upon your arrival. Call 530-242-3431 if gate has not been opened.
  All vehicles must display a park use pass on the dashboard. There is a pay-by-envelope system at the picnic area parking lot. Passes may also be purchased at the visitor center.
  Each site contains one large charcoal BBQ grill, two large serving tables, and numerous picnic tables. You may bring your own BBQ grill.
  Campfires are not allowed.
  Area lacks shade and temperature regularly climbs over 100 degrees in summer. Recommend bringing portable shade structures.
  Put all trash inside the bear-proof garbage cans. If you have more trash than fits inside the bear-proof storage cans, take it home with you.
