The Whisky Camp Station is a historic structure that has been well used over the last century. Please be aware that it is not built from modern materials, and can thus be difficult to clean in a way that folks may be used to at other rentals. The experience of staying there is very rustic. The area has also suffered some recent wildfire, so use caution when hiking the terrain nearby. There may be burnt out root holes that can be stepped into or dangerous burnt trees still standing. The facility uses liquid propane for heat, cooking and lights and a small refrigerator. Please read the instructions carefully before using any of these appliances. Familiarize yourself with the locations of the shutoff valves in case of a gas leak emergency. Also be aware that the elevation of this structure is around 4000 feet, and may be subject to deep snowfall in winter. Check with the Tiller Ranger district on snow levels if concerned that the road may be undrivable. Renters are advised to bring cleaning supplies to clean interior surfaces upon arrival and departure. The Forest Service will provide cleaning supplies but cannot guarantee their availability in the case they have been used or taken by previous occupants. Renters assume responsibility for cleaning surfaces to reduce the risk of potential COVID infection. If unwilling or unable to use cleaning supplies, renters can avoid going to the rental and submit for a full refund.
Closed every Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 for maintenance.
