- Alaska cabin reservations can only be changed once. If you need to modify your reservation a second time,it must be cancelled and then re-booked by calling 1-877-444-6777.*Effective November 17, 2003 to assure fairness for everyone.*
Cabin is primitive, with no amenities except oil stove and outhouse.
Stream and lake water must be boiled or treated before drinking.
Open fires must be in fire ring. Collect dead/down wood
only. All garbage must be packed out. Bring personal flotation devices
for boat. Cabin and lake surrounded by Native-owned land, which has been
clear-cut. To hike from the cabin, a permit is required from Shee Atika
Corporation. Permit information is available from the cabin contact.
Campers will need to provide #1 diesel oil for the stove.

Directions: Kathleen Lake is on the NW side of Admiralty Island. This
cabin is at the east end of the lake. Floatplane access only. One way
flight time from Juneau is approximately 30 minutes. - 3 miles Southeast of Cube Cove; 6 1/2 miles north of Florence Lake.
Brown bear and deer in area. Good hunting and fishing. Lake approximately
1/2 mile wide, 1 3/4 mile long. Skiff with oars provided; outboards of less
than 10 horsepower may be used. Within Kootznoowoo Wilderness, but
surrounded by private land that has been clear-cut.
