- Alaska cabin reservations can only be changed once. If you need to modify your reservation a second time,it must be cancelled and then re-booked by calling 1-877-444-6777.*Effective November 17, 2003 to assure fairness for everyone.*
Cabin is primitive, no amenities except oil stove and outhouse.
CABIN USERS MUST BRING #1 DIESEL OIL OR KEROSENE FOR THE OIL STOVE;
#1 diesel available from local oil distributors (found in the yellow pages
under "oil"). Any other diesel is not recommended. The stove burns
0.03 gallon of oil per hour on low; 0.45 gallon per hour on high.
Open fires in fire ring only. Lake or stream water must be boiled or
treated for drinking. All garbage must be packed out.
Bring personal floatation devices for the boat.
DIRECTIONS: Lake is on the NW side of Admiralty Island; cabin is at east
end of lake, on north shore. Float plane access only. One-way flight time
from Juneau is approx 30 minutes. - 6 1/2 mi. south of Kathleen Lake,
Cabin and lake surrounded by private land, which has been clear-cut. To
hike from the cabin a permit is required from Shee Atika Corporation.

Deer and brown bear in area. Lake approx. 1/2 mi. wide, 4 1/2 mile long.
Good hunting and fishing. Skiff with oars provided; outboards of less than
10 horsepower may be used.
