Need to Know
- The Hillside Cabin is within sight of the Caretakers Quarters.
A true mountain retreat, the Upper Grouse Hillside Cabin provides a cozy family getaway with a front-porch view of the distant lake and mountains. The 1,400 square-foot two-story log cabin has electricity, hot/cold water, a refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker and stove. The living room and kitchen area has a fireplace, couch and small dining room table. Firewood can be purchased from local stores in Springville. California's trees are at risk from insects and diseases that can move on firewood. Please do not transport firewood over 50 miles from where it was grown and felled.
Sleeping space includes a master bedroom on the ground floor with a king bed, and a loft with a queen bed and two twin beds. The living room queen sized futon can also be unfolded for sleeping. There is one full bathroom downstairs. A washer & dryer are available downstairs. Cabin users should provide: linens, pillows, blankets, towels, toiletries, toilet paper, food, and trash bags. Suggested additional items include paper towels, camp chairs, insect repellent, dish towels, dish soap, and a camera! The cabin is not ADA compliant.
- Grouse Valley cabin renters will not be able to have a campfire or charcoal bbq until further notice, effective 7/14/16. Please see attached notice. http://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/sequoia/news-events/?cid=FSEPRD510629
