- Potable water can be obtained up the road .5 miles at West Shore Recreation Area.
- Campground Host is located at West Shore Recreation Area up the road .5 miles if you need assistance.
- Group sites are open: March through November, $75.00 per night per group site.
- There are no electricity/water/sewer site hook-ups at this group campground. All roads and parking areas are gravel.

- There is a locked entrance gate at this campground. Upon arrival, check-in with Campground Host at West Shore Campground .5 miles up the road for access to South Shore Campground and camping information.
- 4th weekend in August every year is the Annual Drag Boat Races at Haystack Reservoir. You are still able to camp at South Shore this weekend; however, temporary noise occurs, and lake use is not allowed on Saturday and Sunday 9 am - 6 pm this weekend.
- Campfires must be in designated firerings at all times.
- Pets are allowed, but keep them on a 6' leash.
- This reservoir is water supply for agricultural irrigation in the High Desert; therefore, water levels fluctuate on a regular basis.
