Browns Park Recreation Area

Bureau of Land Management, Utah.

Originally called Brown’s Hole, this is a remote valley along the Green River. Known as a haven for outlaws such as Butch Cassidy during the late 19th century, it is now the location of many scenic and recreational opportunities. Full of history and adventure this is an excellent area for your next trip, featuring the John Jarvie Historic Ranch, several campgrounds, sections of the Green River to float, equestrian and OHV trails, as well as excellent fly fishing await.

Directions

Drive north out of Vernal UT on Hwy 191 to the Wyoming border. Turn right on Browns Park Rd. Continue on Browns Park Rd. for 20 miles arrive at Browns Park Recreation Area.
