Bureau of Land Management, Idaho.
The Challis Foothills Trail System was planned and implemented through a joint partnership with the Bureau of Land Management, Challis Field Office, City of Challis, Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation, Tread Lightly!, and the Challis Community Trails Collaborative. The objective of the trail system is to provide community connectivity within the City of Challis while encouraging healthy lifestyles for local residents and visitors by participating in a diversity of trail-based recreation experiences and activities. These trails are open to mountain bikers (including Class I, II, and III electric bicycles), hikers, runners, horseback riders, and winter users. Only specific trail segments are open to motorized use. Please refer to the trail map for specific trail use designations.
