While traveling Utah Highway 153, note the clean mountain air, stream laced forests and the unique heritage of the Beaver County area. There is outdoor recreation for all types, whether it be fishing or skiing on one of the many lakes or hiking/biking the mountain trails. Besides camping, another popular pastime in Beaver County is rockhounding among the deserted mine dumps and ghost towns of the area. This scenic byway also leads to many of Utah's major national parks such as Great Basin, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park.
Getting to the Byway:
Travel north on I-15 from Cedar City. Take exit 109 to Utah Highway 153, the scenic byway.
Travel south from Provo. Take exit 112 to Utah Highway 153, the scenic byway.
Navigating the Byway:
Follow Utah Highway 153 east through Beaver County to the end of the pavement, near Puffer Lake.
