Follow the thundering Skykomish River from pastoral Puget Sound through the towering peaks of the Cascade Mountains. At Stevens Pass the byway descends sharply to the fragrant pine forests and fruit orchards of the Wenatchee River Valley. Historic communities shaped by the rugged landscape share their stories and their hospitality.
Getting to the Byway:
Seattle, WA
* Take I-5 north to Everett.
* Merge onto US-2 going east to Cavalero Corner where the byway begins.
Navigating the Byway:
+ Start at the western terminus of the byway in Everett,
Washington. Take US-2 (the byway) east.
+ Continue on US-2 into the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie and Wenatchee
National Forests, on your way to Leavenworth.
+ In Leavenworth, the byway becomes US-2/97 and leaves the
Wenatchee National Forest. Continue southeast until you reach the
town of Wenatchee, where the byway ends.
