Lewis Lake Campground—elevation 7,800 ft (2377 m)—is about twelve miles (19 km) from the South Entrance and a short walk from the southeast shore of Lewis Lake. The maximum total vehicle length in the campground is 25 feet (7.5 m). A boat ramp is located near the campground information and registration area. Canoes, kayaks, and motor boats are allowed on Lewis Lake. The park requires a boat permit and park staff will perform an aquatic invasive species inspection.
