Overview

Marcus Island Campground is tucked into the trees on the lake shore. The campground is heavily shaded and, in the summer, has shoreline on three sides. The main access road is single lane and winding, but campers flock to this shaded area in summer. A boat launch with parking is available before reaching the campground. This location is unstaffed. A small boat launch is available before you reach the campground when the water levels are high. Marcus Island Campground is tucked into the trees on the lake shore. The campground is heavily shaded and, in the summer, has shoreline on three sides.  The historic St. Paul's Mission, which is run by the National Park Service, is located about eleven south of the campground in the town of Kettle Falls. Also in the area are Fort Colville and the Hudson Bay Company Post on the Upper Columbia. St. Paul's Mission. Sherman drive, a scenic loop, is nearby. The boat launch provides access to the lake when the water is high. Provides a nice shaded campground in a beautiful evergreen forest. Popular for campers, families and fisherman alike.
