Small Gathering Picnicking Welcome to Picnic Place! Here you can enjoy an outdoor meal with your friends and family at our reservable community picnic tables and barbeque grills. Bring your own food to grill or buy prepared meals at one of the rotating cast of mobile food vendors . Fire-up the grill, laugh, tell stories, and share in your favorite food traditions, circled by amazing views. The tables range in length from 16 to 23 feet, are wheelchair accessible, and are shaded by torrey pines. In the evening, bistro lights brighten the scene. Picnic Place is part of the Presidio Tunnel Tops , a new attraction within the Presidio of San Francisco. The Presidio Tunnel Tops are built on top of the Presidio Parkway tunnels, with amazing Golden Gate views you can't find anywhere else in San Francisco. This new destination connects the historic center of the Presidio to the park's Crissy Field waterfront. Please note that events happening elsewhere in the Presidio may impact traffic and parking around the Tunnel Tops. Please note that the East Meadow, lawn that is adjacent to Picnic Place, is not included with Picnic Place reservations and is not guaranteed to be available. The East Meadow may be rented for private events and is open to use on a first-come, first-served basis when it is not in use for an event. Picnic Place permit reservations made through Recreation.gov are subject to the Presidio Trust’s Terms and Conditions of Use for Picnic Place (“Terms and Conditions”). You have read and agree to the provisions for Express Prohibitions, No Temporary Residence, Assumption of Risk, Indemnity, and Waiver in the Terms and Conditions. Modifications to the reservation date, time, and selected site are not available once a reservation has been made . No refunds will be given for late arrivals or no-shows. If Permittee violates the terms and conditions of this Permit, the Presidio Trust may immediately cancel this Permit by written or verbal notice and Permittee shall promptly surrender the Premises in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Permit. Rain and Air Quality: The Presidio Trust will make exceptions to the standard 14 day refund window when there is rain in the forecast on your scheduled reservation date or when the AQI is forecasted to be in the Orange range (Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups) or above on your reservation date. To request a cancellation and refund for rain or air quality, you must email your request to picnic@presidiotrust.gov or call (415) 561-5083 no later than 10 am on your scheduled reservation date. The $10.00 cancellation fee will apply. Picnic Place is located adjacent to the East Meadow Lawn on the new Presidio Tunnel Tops . Use the address 201 French Court, SF, CA 94129 . The nearest parking lot is located on French Ct , and there is a short-term loading zone available next to Picnic Place. Please be advised that the parking lot adjacent to Picnic Place is extremely limited. There are several parking lots in the Main Post area of the Presidio within a short walking distance. Use the address 122 Anza Ave, San Francisco, Ca 94129 to get to the large parking lot across the street from the Presidio Tunnel Tops. Please note that most parking lots in the Presidio charge an hourly fee , which is paid at t he kiosk in the lot. Picnic Place is easily accessible via public transit! If you are coming via the free Presidio Shuttle , exit the shuttle at the Presidio Transit Center .
