Amazing National Park Road Trip
My wife and I were thinking of taking a road trip but we had no idea where to go. We had some ideas then narrowed down to three destinations, California, Florida or Tennessee. After still not deciding she threw out another idea. A National Park road trip. We had both talked in the past about visiting a few but never took it further than that. We would both see the amazing pictures and videos showing all the beautiful wildlife which intrigued us to visit. After both agreeing we were eager to go but really didn't know what to expect considering we never visited one.
Our first park we reached was Canyonlands. I was amazed by everything we saw. From the amazing formation of rocks to the first encounter with a bear (from the car) I immediately fell in love. I always knew mother nature was beautiful, but I guess I never knew how beautiful she was until seeing it with my own eyes. Upon leaving we visited 3 more parks, Arches, Zion and Bryce Canyon. Each park had its own significance and beauty. We learned so much of each park and took in so many sights and hikes. I have never been more exhausted in my life than I was for this gratifying trip. Each driving mile, hiking step, hour less night of sleep was worth it. I will never forget the amazing time my wife and I had! We also met so many new friends that had similar experiences and newfound love for parks.
In one particular hike I remember we came to this one overlook that had a majestic view. I saw condors flying effortlessly through the sky and just stared aimlessly into the horizon. I was taken back and had a moment to myself and actually shed or tear or two for no reason at all. I was just so happy and reflecting back on life. I couldn't think of a better place to have a moment.
Upon arriving home, we were so happy, tired and fulfilled. We actually couldn't wait to visit our next park and we have set a goal to try and visit 2-3 parks a year. The next without any hesitation will be Yellowstone. I'm sure it will be another soul touching trip to take in!
