PuʻUhonua O HŌNaunau National Historical Park

Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park also accepts payment in person during Operating Hours and honors valid Interagency Passes (Annual, Senior, Access, Military, etc.). If you already own one of these, you do not need to purchase a site pass. For more information, visit the park's Fees & Passes page.

Do NOT purchase a digital site pass now if you:

• Have a valid America the Beautiful-the National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands annual or lifetime (interagency) pass (e.g., Senior, 4th Grade, Military, etc.), OR
• Are planning to get an annual or lifetime pass when you arrive (review options in the link above). 

Please ensure you have selected the correct pass before you proceed to payment.

• The Pu'uhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park Private Vehicle, Motorcycle and Pedestrian/Cyclist Passes are valid for 7 days, ONLY at Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park. 
• The Pu'uhonua o Hōnaunau Annual Pass is valid for one year from the date of purchase at Pu'uhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park.
• The Hawaii Tri-Park Annual Pass is valid for one year from the date of purchase at Hawai'i Volcanoes PLUS Haleakalā National Park and Pu'uhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park. None of the other national park units in the state of Hawaiʻi charges an entrance fee.

Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park requires all visitors to pay an entrance fee except children under 16 years of age.

The pass admits the passholder and up to 14 passengers in a single, private (non-commercial) vehicle.

Please be prepared to show your site pass on your mobile device (or printed on paper).

Entrance passes are non-transferrable, non-refundable, will not be replaced if lost or stolen and will be void if altered or reproduced.

This is an entrance fee, not a parking fee. Parking is not guaranteed. The parking lot can fill to capacity on any given day. Visitors are encouraged to arrive between 8:30 am and 10:30 am or after 2:30 pm. Refunds will not be offered.

Areas of Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau sometimes experiences connectivity issues. Please download this pass to your mobile device or print a hard copy before arriving at the park.
