Medicine Bow-Routt Nfs & Thunder Basin Ng
All visitors to Medicine-Bow Routt National Forests must display a valid pass at day use fee sites where required. A pass admits the passholder and accompanying passengers of a single, private (non-commercial) vehicle. Please visit our website for a full list of Recreation Sites where a pass is required.
If purchasing your pass on-site, no printed copy of the pass will be available. Instead, your license plate number will be used to confirm compliance. If purchasing a pass in advance, a printed copy of the pass is recommended for your vehicle as cellular connectivity is limited.
Annual Passes must be printed and displayed on your vehicle dashboard with the quick response (QR) code visible at all times during your visit.
Passes do not guarantee parking availability. For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be fined and towed.
Passes are valid until 11:59 PM of the date listed on the pass, and only for the date and vehicle specified for this pass.
Passes are non-transferrable, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.
All visitors are expected to follow the principals of Recreate Responsibly and Leave No Trace which include planning ahead, being prepared, traveling only on durable surfaces, disposing of waste properly, leaving what you find, minimizing fire impacts by being careful with fire, respecting wildlife, and being considerate of other visitors.
