De Soto National Memorial Tours
Reserves one seat on ranger-led guided kayak tour (One seat = One ticket). Children must be at least 7 years of age AND weigh over 50lbs. All children 15 years of age and younger must be accompanied by parent or guardian. All participants must be able to paddle a kayak vessel for up to an hour and a half and participate in a strenuous physical activity. Park staff has the right to refuse a visitor's participation due to issues of physical concern and weight limits of kayak vessels. Program can be cancelled at a moment's notice due to water and weather conditions. Reservation fee is non-refundable.

Kayak Tours run on Saturdays and Sundays every other week during our Kayak season pending weather, water, and staffing conditions.
Tours are by reservation only.
Kayak tours are limited to 10 participants.
Please arrive at 9:15am to check-in with park staff. Participants must attend the safety briefing by a Ranger to continue the tour.
Everyone must be in good health with no recent illnesses or surgery. Everyone must be comfortable in the water, and able to get back into a kayak under their own power (with some assistance from the ranger) should they fall in. Participants should be prepared and able to lift and carry kayaks, and other equipment for short distances. Visitors not able to do this should advise park rangers. Those with special needs must contact the park at least two weeks in advance to determine suitability/ ability to accommodate needs.
Weight limit is 400 pounds total capacity for tandem (2 seat) kayaks. Children must be at least 7 years old and weigh 50lbs. All children 15 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Park provides all necessary gear (kayaks, paddles, PFDs). Personal equipment is not allowed.
We do ask that you bring bug spray, sunscreen, closed-toed shoes that can get wet, and comfortable clothing that can get wet. Please apply sunscreen and bug spray (if needed) before the tour starts.
