While there is no official dress code to visit the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites, we do ask visitors to dress appropriately and respectfully. Swimsuits are not acceptable. Flip flops and sandals are permitted; however, we do encourage visitors to wear comfortable closed toe shoes, as there is a lot of walking when visiting the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites. There are also trip hazards and toe-stubbers onboard the Missouri and Bowfin. For people not used to the intense sun in Hawaii, hats and sunscreen are recommended.
The Pearl Harbor Historic Sites welcome its visitors with disabilities. All the sites are mostly wheelchair accessible except for the Bowfin Submarine and portions of the Battleship Missouri. Chairs and benches are located throughout the venues to allow people to sit and rest.
Visitors that are visually challenged and accompanied by a friend or family member may successfully navigate all venues. Escorts will need to warn the visitor of toe-stubbers, knee-knockers and head bangers found throughout the ship and submarine. A little prudence and caution will make for an easy time onboard for everyone.
Passport to Pearl Harbor tickets are available up to 56 days prior to your arrival date.
