Need to Know
- Wildlife Safety
Bear and moose are common on the Campbell Tract. Always pay attention for wild animals, give them lots of space, and practice “bear aware” techniques (e.g., travel in groups, make noise, and carry bear spray).
- Cell Service
The Science Center does not have public Wi-Fi and cell service is spotty.
- Drinking Water
A water bottle filling station and water fountain are available for use.
- Accessibility
A paved path leads from the parking lot to the building entrance, which has a accessible door. Accessible parking is located near the start of this path in the parking lot; an additional spot is located at both the north and south ends of the building and paved paths lead from those spots around to the front entrance. (All side doors, including emergency exits, remain locked to outside entry during business hours.)
- Restrooms
Restrooms with changing stations are available inside the facility.
- Weather cancellations
Programs take place in all seasons and are not cancelled due to weather. The exception is if Anchorage federal facilities close due to weather.

Tickets will be available approximately one month in advance beginning at 6 a.m. AK.
Changes and Cancellations
- If you cancel your booking more than 24 hours in advance, your ticket cost will be refunded minus a $1.00 administration fee per ticket. There will be no refund if you cancel your program booking less than 24 hours in advance.
- CCSC may cancel a program 24 hours in advance if the minimum number of program participants still needs to be met. If this occurs, CCSC notify you by email and issue a refund.
- Programs occur in all seasons, and CCSC will not cancel due to weather.
