The National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center offers interpretive programs, exhibits, multi-media presentations, special events, and more than four miles of interpretive trails.
Using life-size displays, films and live theater presentations, this Center provides a unique opportunity to walk through a wagon train, join a group of emigrants as they cross the frontier, and experience history come to life.
The 500-acre site includes remnants of the historic Flagstaff Gold Mine, ruts carved by wagons, and magnificent vistas of the historic trail route. On days the center is open the up/in gate closes at 4:30 pm pacific and the parking lot closes at 5:15 pm. Time in the building can vary by person and group. Many people spend 30 minutes to two hours in the museum.
America the Beautiful passes are accepted at this location. No advance ticket purchase required.
Children under 16 are free and do not require an advance ticket.

The visitor center is open Thursday through Sunday.
Center is open Thursday-Sunday from 10- 5 Pacific Time. Fee Free Days are October 26 and November 9.
The center strongly recommends reservations, although first-come, first-served tickets may be available at the site for individuals and groups. Reservations are required for group tours for all commercial and school groups.
We accept all interagency passes. No ticket required.
Group tours are limited to a total of 60 people and will be divided into smaller groups for the tour. Reservations are not available online for large commercial groups. Please contact blm_or_nh_mail@blm.gov to schedule a tour.
