  • Reservation Requirements

    • Reservations are required October 1 to May 31, 8 am- 5 pm. A vehicle must be through the fee station at 8 am to be able to come in without a reservation. 
    • Visitors must have a timed entry reservation for each day they plan to enter. It’s recommended you purchase tickets in advance online at Recreation.gov or using the Recreation.gov mobile app. Advanced reservations may be booked up until the start time of your desired entry time as availability allows. 
    • Re-entry into the Scenic Drive after your one-hour entry reservation will require a new reservation. 
    • Reservations are NOT required from June 1 through September 30. During this period, passes can be purchased at the Entrance Station before entering the Conservation Area. 
    • Parking lots fill up early on weekends, holidays, and fee free days. Visitors arriving between 10am - 2pm can not assume that all parking lots will be open. 
  • REFUNDS

    Fees are non-refundable ( NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED) at RRCNCA for any fees paid or passes bought on the day of arrival. 

  • Entrance Times

    Please arrive as close to your 1-hour time slot as possible, starting at the time indicated on the ticket, with an allowance for a 30-minute early arrival. Once entered, visitors can stay the entire duration of the day that the Scenic Drive is open to the public.

  • Visitor Center

    The Visitor Center is open 8 am to 4:30 pm. If you plan to visit the Visitor Center, plan to go there first. Re-entry into the Scenic Drive after your one-hour entry reservation will require a new reservation. 

  • Park Hours of Operations

    October: 6 am to 7 pm PST | November - February: 6 am to 5 pm PST | March: 6 am to 7 pm PST | April - September: 6 am to 8 pm PST 

  • Entering the National Conservation Area

    Since there is limited cell phone coverage, please have a printed or digital copy of your reservation ticket available to be scanned BEFORE arriving at the entrance station. Current Pass holders must provide the physical pass for validation.

  • Current Pass Holders

    Annual and Lifetime passes are accepted as your entrance fee. See Fees and Cancellation section for valid entrance passes. 

  • Vehicle Entry Reservation

    Visitors are allowed to have 1 reservation per private vehicle or motorcycle per day for only 1 time slot. The reservation holder must be in the vehicle at time of entry. 

  • Walk-in and Bicycle Visitors

    A timed entry reservation is not required. Upon your arrival, please visit the entrance kiosk to pay your entrance fee or have your pass validated. E-bikes and one wheels are included in this category.

  • Flush Toilets and Drinking Water

    Flush toilets and water bottle refill stations are exclusively available at the Visitor Center. While there are vault toilets located along the scenic drive, please note that no water is accessible at those facilities.

  • Commercial Tours

    • Commercial Tours are limited to five vehicles per reservation. Every vehicle in your group must have a timed entry reservation.
    • Special Recreation Permits are required for all guided recreation experiences, unless exempt. Advanced reservations may be booked up until the start time of your desired entry time. Contact the Bureau of Land Management to see the status of your tours prior to making reservation.
    • America the Beautiful Passes or Red Rock Annual Passes are not valid for discounts for entry by commercial tour companies.
  • Climbers

    • October 1 to May 31, a vehicle must be through the fee station at 8am to be able to come in without a reservation. Our systems automatically require a reservation at 8 am and can not be overridden.
    • Parking lots fill up early on weekends, holidays, and fee free days. Visitors arriving between 10am-2pm can not assume that all parking lots will be open. 
    • Climbers should maintain a minimum of 50ft away from any archeological site.
  • Directions

    Red Rock Canyon is located 17 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip on Charleston Boulevard/State Route 159. The Scenic Drive and Visitor Center is located 5 miles east of the Conservation Area Boundary. The Visitor Center is located at 1000 Scenic Loop Drive and can be used for map apps that will take you to the Visitor Center near the beginning of the Scenic Drive.
