Cochiti Lake is located within the boundaries of the Pueblo de Cochiti Indian Reservation, on the Rio Grande River about half way between Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Cochiti Dam is one of the ten largest earth-fill dams in the US.
The boat launch fee can be paid here or on site upon arrival. Please properly display boat launch day use pass or hang tag prior to launching vessel as failure to do so may result in a citation.
Day use pass/boat launch fee pass must be printed out prior to arrival and properly displayed on vehicle dash prior to launching vessel. This $5.00 fee can also be paid using cash on site at the boat launch fee station.

Cochiti Lake is a NO ALCOHOL lake. As per Title 36 CFR Section 327.12 (e): The possession and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages on any portion of the project land or waters, or the entire project, may be prohibited when designated by the District Commander.
Boat launch privilages are valid only for the date on your day use pass/boat launch fee pass.
Annual and Lifetime passes are accepted as your reservation ticket fee. See Fees and Cancellation section for valid entrance passes.
