Glacier National Park piloted a vehicle reservation system for the summer of 2024. Vehicle reservations were required beginning May 24 for the west side of Going-to-the-Sun Road and North Fork and on July 1 for Many Glacier. Vehicle reservations ended for the 2024 season on September 9. Information about the 2025 vehicle reservation pilot will be announced in the fall of 2024. Check the park website regularly for updates.
A vehicle reservation is required for each automobile and motorcycle entering the Going-to-the-Sun Road corridor via the West Entrance, just past the Apgar Campground, and the North Fork area of the park from May 24 through September 8, 2024, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vehicle reservations are also required for Many Glacier from July 1 through September 8, 2024, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition to a vehicle reservation, a park pass is required to enter the park. A vehicle reservation does not include a park pass, and the park pass does not serve as a vehicle reservation.

Visitors with lodging, camping (including front country developed campgrounds and backcountry camping permits), transportation, or commercial activity reservations originating east of Logan Pass cannot be used instead of a vehicle reservation for access past the Apgar Check Point heading west on Going-to-the-Sun Road.
Visitors with service reservations along Going-to-the-Sun Road in locations east of Logan Pass (ex: Rising Sun and St. Mary campgrounds/boating) will need to enter Going-to-the-Sun Road via the St. Mary Entrance if they do not possess a vehicle reservation for Going-to-the-Sun Road (West). All visitors will be able to drive Going-to-the-Sun Road without a vehicle reservation going west from St. Mary.
Visitors with lodging, camping, transportation, or commercial activity reservations within Many Glacier can use their reservation for entry instead of a $2 reservation to gain access to the portion of the park for which they have a reservation.
Service reservations are not available in the North Fork area.
Wilderness camping permits or proof of a registered campsite allow vehicle access to the area in the which reservation is valid for the day/s of service (i.e., a wilderness camping permit for a trail in Many Glacier only provides access to Many Glacier and no other areas of the park).
