Facilities

Cedar Ridge Park is open year round. It offers 54 campsites, many of which have electric hookups. Twelve sites have been established for tent camping only. Flush toilets, showers, drinking water and a dump station are provided.

Natural Features

The land surrounding the lake contains hundreds of acres of native prairie grasses, rolling hills and thick forests that turn crimson in autumn.

An abundance of wildlife lives around the water, including wild turkey, Great Blue heron, deer and Bald eagles. Visitors can learn about the lake's Bald eagles at the area's annual eagle-watching event hosted each winter.

Recreation

Boating is a popular pastime at the lake. Sailing is especially popular and the lake hosts several races each year. The campground provides two boat ramps for easy access to the water. A swimming beach and an accessible fishing dock are also on-site.

The waters of Stockton Lake are home to several species of fish including small and largemouth bass, crappie, white bass, walleye, catfish and sunfish, making it an ideal destination for anglers.

From Bona, Missouri, take Highway 245 north for 0.5 miles to RA Highway. Turn left (north) on RA Highway and continue for 0.7 miles to the park.

Need to Know

  • Campground check in time is 4:00 PM. Checkout time is 4:00 PM. 

  • Cedar Ridge is a campground facility. Campground for overnight stays only - day use prohibited. Reservations are subject to cancellation and removal from the park without valid camping unit (ie: tent, rv, etc)

  • One wheeled unit and two tents, or three tents are allowed per campsite
  • Boat ramps at lake facilities are open Mar. 1 through Nov. 30
  • Please call the project office (417-276-3113) for more information during the off season
  • Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
  • The Cedar Ridge North boat ramp is available to registered campers only during peak recreation season of April 16-Sept 30. The Cedar Ridge South boat ramp is open to the public Jan 1-Dec 31.
