The Boulder Cave Timed Ticket allows one private vehicle or motorcycle at Boulder Cave Day Use and Boulder Cave Trail. Boulder Cave Day Use includes Barrier Free Trail and Picnic Shelter offering a paved surface and benches to enjoy the Naches River. The picnic table areas have asphalt surfaces that are wheel-chair suitable. Boulder Cave Trail #962 is a 1.5-mile round trip trail with approximately 400 feet of elevation gain beginning at the parking lot of the day use picnic area. It climbs gradually to a trail loop going to the Cave entrance. The trail meanders through a 330-foot basalt rock cave with Devil Creek flowing alongside.
Access to the waterfall is closed. Please stay on designated trails to protect sensitive wildlife habitat.
Please arrive no sooner than the entry time shown on your timed ticket. Early arrival is not permitted, and there is no admittance after 3:00pm. After arrival, visitors can stay the entire day. Visitors must leave by 4:30 p.m.
This area uses the timed ticket reservation system to protect it from excessive human impacts, help meet health & safety requirements, and facilitate a positive recreation experience.
Visitors arriving by vehicle, multi-passenger van, bus, or motorcycle must have a timed ticket. Visitors arriving on foot are also required to have a timed ticket. Tickets are sold online at Recreation.gov or via the mobile app and won’t be sold on-site.
Visitors can purchase up to 1 timed ticket per day, per vehicle. Ticket holder must be in the vehicle at time of entry.
Please have a printed copy of your timed ticket or your confirmation email QR code on a cell phone device available to be scanned at the Welcome Station. All visitors should be prepared to show their photo ID and America the Beautiful or Interagency Pass if used to obtain a pass discount.
Vehicles parked in the Boulder Cave Day Use Area must display a valid timed ticket in the vehicle windshield, along with any pass used to purchase their ticket. Park only in designated parking spaces. Visitors must abide by all regulations.
America the Beautiful and Interagency pass holders are still required to purchase a timed ticket. See the full list of valid passes.
