In addition to purchasing a vehicle reservation for Cadillac Summit Road, vehicles must display a park entrance pass through the windshield. Park entrance passes are available online at Recreation.gov. 

Vehicle reservations must be purchased in advance of arriving at the park.

Vehicle reservations are not available for purchase at the park. 

Vehicle reservations are per vehicle—not per person.

Print or save a digital copy of the QR Code that comes with the vehicle reservation confirmation email. It will be scanned to verify the reservation. Internet and cellular connectivity are unreliable in the park.

Vehicles must enter the reservation area during the time period shown on the reservation.

Reservations provide a timed entry, but do not require a departure time until 9:00 pm when Cadillac Summit Road is closed to vehicles.

Reservations do not permit re-entry under any circumstances.

One Cadillac Summit Road - Sunrise reservation is allowed per vehicle every seven days.

One Cadillac Summit Road - Daytime reservation is allowed per vehicle each day.

Parking is available in the west and east lots at the summit.

Reservations do not assign a specific parking space. 

Parking outside of designated spaces is prohibited.

Vehicles over 21 feet long (including bike racks and hitch attachments), recreation vehicles, and trailers are prohibited on Cadillac Summit Road. Vehicles that exceed this limit will be denied entry even with a valid reservation.

Motorcycles, motor scooters, and mopeds are considered vehicles, and a vehicle reservation is required for each.

The vehicle reservation fee is non-refundable under all circumstances (including missed reservations, early or late arrivals, emergency road closures, and inclement weather, such as fog, clouds, and rain) unless the vehicle reservation is cancelled at least 48 hours before the start time. 

Vehicle reservations may be changed at no cost to another date and time prior to the reservation time.

Commercial operators conducting business activities in the park are required to use a separate vehicle reservation system after obtaining a Commercial Use Authorization from the National Park Service. 

Commercial operators cannot use private vehicle reservations to conduct business activities in the park.

Accredited educational groups should contact the park for information on how to obtain a park entrance pass fee waiver and gain access to Cadillac Summit Road when vehicle reservations are in effect.

Island Explorer bus does not provide service on Cadillac Summit Road.
